EDUCATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

ETHICS TRAINING:    The Education Committee shall present, annually, a 3 hour CE Code of Ethics course to assist the members with the quadrennial ethics trainingas required by NAR.

CE COURSES: The Education Committee shall schedule the REALTOR® Safety Course and additional CE Classes to be presented locally each year as provided for in the EMBOR budget.

CE COURSE FEES: Course registration fees will be determined by the Education Committee on a per course basis and are non-refundable. (FREE for EMBOR members registering early, see details under Early Registration.)

REFUNDS:Course fees are non-refundable. Fee may be applied to another class offered in the same calendar year.

EARLY REGISTRATION

·        MEMBERS :EMBOR members registering in advance as defined on the registration form will not be charged the course fee to attend.

·        NON-MEMBERS:Non-members registering in advance as defined on the registration form will be charged the course fee as defined on the registration form.

LATE REGISTRATION

·        MEMBERS:EMBOR Members registering late as defined on the registration form will be charged $25.  Late registrants must remit payment to the Board office by the end of business the day before the class.

·        NON-MEMBERS:Non-members registering late as defined on the registration form will be charged the course fee for late registration as defined on the registration form.  Late registrants must remit payment to the Board office by the end of business the day before the class.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION:    (subject to availability)

·        MEMBERS:EMBOR Members registering on-site will be charged $40.  On-site registrants must remit payment to the Board office by 5:00pmthe day of the class. Payments must be submitted in person or via phone with Visa or MasterCard.  Credit Card payments will incur a 3% convenience fee. Failure to remit payment will void entitlement to CE Credit for the course. Course fees cannot be collected at the door.

·        NON-MEMBERS:Non-members registering on-site will be charged the on-site registration course fee as defined on the registration form.  On-site registrants must remit payment to the Board office by 5:00pmthe day of the class. Payments must be submitted in person or via phone with Visa or MasterCard.  Credit Card payments will incur a 3% convenience fee. Failure to remit payment will void entitlement to CE Credit for the course. Course fees cannot be collected at the door.

CANCELLATIONS / NO SHOWS:Course Registrants canceling less than 48 hours before the course as defined on the registration form will be invoiced by EMBOR for $10 to cover the cost of class materials.  Payments may be submitted by check or via phone with Visa or MasterCard.  Credit Card payments will incur a 3% convenience fee. Registrations for future courses will not be accepted until payment is received by the Board Office.

AFFILIATE CE COURSE PRESENTATIONS:Affiliatesshall submit a course objective to the Board upon request. The course outline shall be reviewed by the Education Committee for consideration. An Affiliate may not be scheduled more than once in a 12 consecutive month period.
